Are you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for early years education?
A warm and welcoming primary school in Kings Norton is looking for a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This is a full-time, long-term role ideal for someone who is confident supporting young learners in their early development.
About the Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across Nursery and Reception, helping them build the foundations for future learning. You'll work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote progress across all areas of the EYFS curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Support early learning through play-based and structured activities.
- Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy development.
- Provide individual and group support based on pupils' needs.
- Help create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
- Monitor and record pupil progress and development.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience working with children in EYFS or KS1.
- Previous experience in a school or early years setting.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
- A caring, patient, and supportive approach to learning.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
