Summary
Position: Process Engineer / Scientist – Pilot Plant Operations & Process Development
We are looking for a motivated engineer or scientist to support the development and demonstration of advanced industrial effluent treatment technologies. This hands-on role involves working with pilot and demonstration-scale systems, supporting laboratory work, and contributing to process development and design activities.
The position offers valuable experience across the full project lifecycle—from research and feasibility studies to pilot plant operations and support in the design of full-scale treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, trials, and process data
• Assist in the preparation of technical reports and project documentation
• Contribute to the development of process designs and client proposals
• Participate in client demonstrations and internal project meetings
• Operate and maintain laboratory and pilot-scale effluent treatment systems
• Conduct chemical sampling and basic analyses
• Assist in the operation of demonstration-scale systems for industrial wastewater treatment
• Support laboratory management, including equipment maintenance and H&S compliance

Qualifications & Experience
• A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific or engineering field (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry)
• Hands-on experience in a laboratory, pilot plant, or industrial environment (e.g. university projects, internships, or graduate roles)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Competence in Microsoft Office; any familiarity with process modelling or data analysis tools is a plus
• An interest in industrial water treatment and sustainability
• Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and abroad for short assignments

• Primary location: Milton Keynes
• Travel: Occasional travel within the UK and short-term assignments abroad may be required
• Working hours: 8 hours per day (flexible); occasional out-of-hours work may be required depending on project needs

Full training will be provided on the operation of pilot plant and laboratory facilities.
