This role requires you to be a highly competent and dedicated individual who demonstrates both compassion and empathy to the individuals we support it is desirable to have an understanding/awareness of mental ill health (e.g. support worker), or a relevant qualification (level 3 Health & Social Care) or relevant experience. You will manage and support a team of Peer Mentors as well as carry a caseload of your own. Good leadership qualities are required including compassion and understand when managing a team whose role includes sharing their own lived experience of mental health. You will be responsible for Case Management Supervision as well as individual supervision. More specifically, successful applicants will need to possess and demonstrate a high level of skill in the following areas: Ability to demonstrate resilience when working with individuals that are experiencing varying levels of emotional distress. Able to adapt to change. Ability to provide strong and supportive leadership Ability to recognise the needs of your teams wellbeing Ability and confidence to deliver presentations in-house as well as in the community. Confident to deliver training to new members of the team A positive and solution-focused attitude. Good administration and IT skills. Excellent time management and organisational skills relating to the number of client contacts offered and clinical sessions carried out each week. Excellent time management and organisational skills relating to team supervisions Capacity to work under pressure. High level of enthusiasm and self-motivation. Ability to work and problem solve independently. Access to a car to travel independently. Ability to work at any location across Suffolk. Ability to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends. We are seeking an individual with the knowledge and skills to work as part of a team and be innovative in their approach.You will need to be flexible and have the ability to cope in a highly demanding role and demonstrate a high level of organisational skill. You will work under the direction of and be managed by the Community Service Manager.
