Are you an enthusiastic and resilient Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to make a real difference?
We are seeking a passionate and committed individual to join our dedicated team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) within a Alternative Provision Centre at a vibrant secondary school in Shropshire.

This is a full-time, term-time only, permanent position – ideal for an ECT who thrives on building strong relationships, supporting individual learning journeys, and creating positive change in the lives of young people.

About the Role:

As HLTA in our Alternative Provision Centre, you will:

• Support and lead learning activities for students who benefit from a more personalised and nurturing approach.
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral leads to support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social needs.
• Deliver small group interventions and 1:1 support to promote engagement and progress.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured environment for learners who need additional support to thrive.

What We’re Looking For:

• An Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for a non-traditional but rewarding route into education.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills.
• A flexible, calm, and patient approach to working with young people.
• A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and personalised learning.

Interviews will take place at the school in the coming weeks.
To be considered, please submit an up-to-date CV detailing your recent experience working with and supporting students.
