Crynodeb
The DBS Assets in Industry Team consists of 10 team members who are responsible for processing approx 300 DefCon 694 data submissions, which is a record of their Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) holdings, and other associated forms/documentation. The AiI/GFE Team process these datasets and interpret the data into financial stock events for production of a financial journal for posting into the MoD’s Financial Accounts and related Management Information. This role is required to work across the team on a daily basis to support changes affecting the team and to build on team resilience. Main duties include:
Assist with improvements to DBS Assets in Industry/Government Furnished Equipment services to include the maintenance of user requirements for current and new systems and identify/support the implementation of automation (AG/Power BI) opportunities of current processes, forms, MI and Statistics
Liaison with internal and contracted external IT support teams to develop, maintain and support DBS systems to meet changing business needs
Collaboration and support to wider MoD teams and associated industry partners to support projects to develop new inventory systems, data portals, finance applications and modernisation programmes
Undertake continuous reviews of a wide-ranging set of Policy/Guidance/Controls relating to AiI/GFE to ensure DBS compliance and suggest changes to confirm accuracy of content where they impact DBS service lines
Development and continual maintenance of a detailed knowledge and information database to capture current DBS AiI processes enabling consistent responses to queries and updating of FAQs
Production and review of a variety of guidance documentation and media for team resilience including audio videos, powerpoint slides and process maps etc
Operate in a flexible way, supporting the whole Assets in Industry team in response to day-to-day tasks and emerging events.
