The Army Data Analytics Team (ADAT) sit within the Information Directorate and are the TLB leaders in providing Data analytics and Business intelligence.
You will be responsible for extracting source data and transforming and delivering it into suitable data structures, which can then be ingested by various analytical capabilities such as SAS, Oracle, Power BI, Palantir and Tableau. These outputs will be used to support high level decision making and the holding to account of senior decision makers under processes implemented as part of Defence Reform.
In this role you will:
Develop complex solutions using a range of data science techniques, whilst understanding any ethical considerations
Understand the role and benefits of data science within the organisation
Support capability building within the organisation
Collaborate with others to develop data science solutions and outputs supporting the organisation
Prepare and manipulate data, and perform complex analytics
Present and communicate effectively
Working with business partners to analyse data and create data models utilising analytics software. Produce the documentation for the projects as well as maintaining them throughout its life cycle
Maintain data feeds into existing dashboards/projects and give help and guidance when required
Analyse data and use this analysis to create and maintain evidence-based data models utilising analytics software. Ensure integrated data is displayed accurately, from an authoritative source and the business user is aware of the level of accuracy of the information and the display context of the data
Produce accurate and comprehensive support documentation for all development work
Liaise with Business Analysts and Data Analysts to identify solution options, providing advice and recommendations based on data expertise and experience
Understand different system development methodologies to facilitate the ability to work as part of an agile or waterfall project or in day-to-day continuous improvement activities
Support to self-service users and Incident Management analytical products
