The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Reception Supervisor to lead our front-of-house team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding service, ensuring every visitor feels welcomed and valued. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for hospitality to step into a supervisory role within a dynamic and iconic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
-Oversee daily operations of the reception desk, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
-Lead, train, and motivate a small team of receptionists, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
-Handle guest inquiries, bookings, and check-ins/outs with warmth and efficiency.
-Manage room allocations, billing, and resolve any guest issues promptly and courteously.
-Collaborate with other departments (housekeeping, F&B, etc.) to ensure seamless guest experiences.
-Maintain high standards of presentation and adherence to brand values.
-Assist with administrative tasks, including rotas, reports, and inventory management.

We’re looking for a natural leader with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail.
Essential Skills & Experience:
-Previous experience in a reception or front-of-house role within a hotel or luxury hospitality setting.
-Proven supervisory or team leadership experience.
-Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
-Proficiency with hotel booking systems (e.g., Opera, ResDiary, or similar).
-A professional, polished demeanor with a passion for guest satisfaction.
-Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
Desirable:
-Knowledge of the South Devon area and its tourism offerings.
-Experience in a boutique or luxury hotel environment.
-Familiarity with Art Deco or heritage properties.
