Are you a skilled painter and decorator looking for a dynamic role that keeps you on the move? Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking a dedicated Multi-Site Officer (Painting & Decorating) to join our maintenance team. You will be responsible for providing a high standard painting and decorating service across multiple campuses, ensuring the effective maintenance and aesthetic appeal of our college facilities.
Multi-Site Officer (Painting & Decorating) - Key Responsibilities:
- Painting and Decorating: Perform all aspects of painting and decorating, both interior and exterior, including the safe use of ladders and tower scaffolding.
- Condition Surveys: Work with Site Managers to conduct condition surveys and maintain a schedule of works, identifying necessary maintenance, repairs, and new projects.
- Supervision: Oversee and schedule work for up to 2 trade apprentices, guiding them in their professional development.
- General Maintenance: Assist with various maintenance activities outside your primary expertise to ensure campus readiness.
- Site Coverage: Provide cover for Site Officers as needed, including evening, weekend, and occasional call-out duties.
- Team Assistance: Support team members with day-to-day and planned maintenance and porterage tasks.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair plant and equipment within safe working limits.
- Safe Operation: Operate plant and equipment safely.
- Grounds Maintenance: Participate in grounds maintenance, caretaking, porterage, and emergency cleaning on a rota basis.
- Security Duties: Perform occasional security duties, including emergency callouts (with additional pay).
Multi-Site Officer (Painting & Decorating) - You:
To apply, you will hold:
- Level 2 (GCSE A-C) qualification or equivalent in English and Maths or a willingness to work toward them.
- Hold a minimum Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) in Painting/Decorating or be able to demonstrate relevant experience.
- Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to work towards one.
