Position Engineer
Location South Yorkshire

Our Regional New Build Housing client based in South Yorkshire are currently recruiting an experienced Engineer for their offices in South Yorkshire. This is a high quality house builder who have numerous new developments coming up in the future.
Main Responsibilities
- Management of developments from game plan through to Game Plan Live and during construction
- The appointment and management of external consultants to complete road and sewer and
- foundation designs
- Securing technical approval for road and sewer designs and acquiring section 38, 104 and 278 agreements that are necessary for developments
- Liaising with external consultants and contractors to determine remediation and earthworks strategies
- Co-ordinating and overseeing all pre-construction engineering activities on sites including remediation, earthworks and road and sewers
- Negotiating, procuring and coordinating utility contracts (new connections, offsite reinforcement and diversions) to deliver the required work in line with build programmers and site budgets
- Providing the necessary information to ensure adoption of roads and sewers
- Liaising with local authority planning and building control departments and NHBC to discharge development conditions
- Issuing drawings and information to the relevant internal departments and external parties to suit pre-tender/pre-start meetings and build program
- Working with the project team to ensure development targets are met
- Undertake external works and plot drainage design
The Ideal Candidate
- The role requires a good residential knowledge ideally from an engineering background.
- Knowledge of the house building industry.
- MEng, BEng or HNC in Civil Engineering.
- Experience using AutoCAD
- Possess good communication skills
- A broad technical awareness
