Here at Principal Resourcing, we offer a diverse, welcoming, and supportive educational experience for Support Staff seeking a new challenge.

We have an exciting opportunity for a friendly and engaging SEN Teaching Assistant to join one of our partnership Special Schools in Leeds, providing full-time support for SEN pupils across the Alternative Provision from September 2024. The position will initially be on a temporary basis and is expected to become permanent for the right applicant. There will be an opportunity to experience the school day and meet staff and pupils in late July prior to beginning the role.

The Special School caters for pupils aged 4 to 19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Many of the pupils are on the autistic spectrum, with a large number who struggle to engage, are anxious or have communication difficulty.

You will join a committed and friendly staff team, who are happy, hardworking and truly care about positive outcomes for every child. The ideal applicant will share the school's vision for high standards, support and teamwork in all aspects of school life. You must have the ability to relate with children/young people from diverse backgrounds, effectively supporting them to learn and improve as independent individuals within a caring environment.

We welcome applications from Teaching Assistants/SEN Specialists with relevant experience and offer competitive rates of pay up to £100, depending on the role requirements.

Your role as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Support the Teacher to engage SEN students in learning & build confidence.
- Adapt to the diverse needs of SEN students within your care.
- Maintain strong classroom management & promote high standards for learning.
- Support SEN students to positively progress, through suitable intervention.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a positive and child-centred staff team.

We are seeking Practitioners with:
- A full and relevant Teaching Assistant/SEN Support qualification or equivalent.
- Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
- Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
