SEN Teaching Assistant Location:
Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS11
Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours
Education and Training
£85 - £100 Per day
- Provide support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing individual education plans for children
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support students with their learning activities and personal care needs
- Collaborate with other staff members and parents/guardians to ensure the overall well-being of students
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Relevant experience working with children or individuals with SEN
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Prior experience working with children or individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Patience and empathy when working with students
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- First Aid certification
This role involves working in a classroom environment, supporting students with SEN. The job may require some physical activity and assisting students with personal care needs. Regular collaboration with teachers, parents/guardians, and other staff members is expected.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
