Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant


Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS16

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £85 - £100 Per day
- Provide support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom setting
- Assist teachers in implementing individual education plans for pupils with SEN
- Help pupils with SEN to stay focused, engaged, and motivated in their learning
- Support children with SEN in developing their social and communication skills
- Monitor and record the progress of students with SEN
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a positive learning environment for children with SEN
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Understanding of the challenges faced by pupils with SEN
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working in a similar role
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of children with SEN
- Strong organisational skills
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- SEN-specific training or certification
- Work in a classroom setting within a school environment
- Full-time hours, temporary position
- Supportive team environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
