Positive Behaviours Support Worker (Days and Nights)
Location: Birch, Cornford Lane, Pembury, Kent
Hours of Work: Full-Time or Part-time (up to 37 hours available)
Shift Pattern: For Days shifts include earlies (from 7:30am) and lates (until 10pm). For Waking Night staff shifts are
9:30pm-7:30am (weekdays) and 10pm-8am (weekends)
Salary: £10.10 (per hour)
Hi I’m M, I live in Birch Cottage. I am Caring enthusiastic and lots of fun!!
I can do the majority of my own personal care and dressing, but I need prompting to do this correctly. I also like to tidy my
flat, choosing what I am going to eat, helping to chop up and prepare my own meals, baking and hoovering. Sometimes I may need a
bit of a prompt and some encouragement with these tasks, but it helps when my carers make it fun and do the tasks with me.
I have my own mobility car and I enjoy going out, especially to go shopping, I also like swimming, bowling, banger racing and
trampolining. I also like going for long walks, kicking a football around and visiting the pigs where I live.
I am very perceptive and can tell what mood you are in and your feelings towards me. When I first meet you, I can seem shy and
quiet and it may take me a while to feel comfortable and to trust you.
I have a diagnosis of ADHD which affects me in many ways. I take medication to help me with my condition but I need support and
understanding from my staff team to help me cope with everyday life. I become easily distracted and am always on the go. I do not
mean to, but I sometimes act without thinking and can become angry and shout .
When I communicate I tend to use key words and fragment my sentences and can be very repetitive in my speech, this can make me
difficult to understand at times, and when I feel I am not being understood I can become frustrated quickly. When I am anxious it
helps to use humour to distract me.
It would be really nice if you would like to come and be part of my team of carers and join in with the fun we can have in
