Rose is a newly developed, highly specialised service at the heart of our idyllic site in Pembury, Kent. We are looking for
passionate, enthusiastic and energetic people to join our dynamic and dedicated team, specialising in providing Positive Behaviour
Support for a young man (J) with a learning disability.
J will soon be moving in to his first flat as an adult and needs an expert team of people around him to manage the transition and
support him to learn new skills.
J has many keen interests and is willing to give most things a go – at least once! He really likes football, both playing and
watching, enjoys being outside, and loves going to the beach; being busy and occupied is key for him. He is attending college and
in the future hopes to keep learning with the support of his team.
Due to the complexity of his needs, particularly around managing behaviours that can be challenging for others, we are looking for
people who are skilled at de-escalating difficult situations in a positive and proactive way. Our focus is always on improving
quality of life so we need people who are fun, solution focused, and always striving to achieve the best possible outcome.
As a member of our team, you should have:
* Experience of working with people with a learning disability and/or Autism
* Experience of working with people who may display behaviours of concern
* Experience within the care or education sector
* A willingness to learn new skills and receive feedback through regular observations and coaching sessions from our PBS
Specialist team
* A willingness to complete PBS qualifications – this requires at least L2 English and Maths
* Ideally experience in leading and developing a team
* Ideally have a driving licence and be able to drive the J’s Motability car.
