Health Care Assistant – Care Home (Airdrie)
Our client is seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistants to join their care team in Airdrie. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and making a meaningful difference in residents’ lives.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver personalised care tailored to each resident’s individual needs
Support residents with daily living activities while promoting independence
Build positive relationships with residents and understand the impact of care on them and their families
Engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance their wellbeing
Follow and contribute to individual Care Plans to ensure continuity of care
Accurately maintain records, including food/fluid intake, repositioning and significant events
Observe, report and respond to any changes in residents’ health or wellbeing
Maintain confidentiality and uphold residents’ dignity and rights
Care Duties Include
Assisting with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
Supporting mobility and safe movement
Skin care and pressure area management
Making beds (occupied and unoccupied)
Assisting with meals and hydration
Caring for residents’ personal belongings
Escorting residents within the home as required
Completing care documentation such as fluid balance and repositioning charts
Additional Responsibilities
Promote a positive image of the care home
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Attend training sessions and team meetings
Requirements
SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or working towards) preferred
Understanding of National Care Standards and Codes of Conduct
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
Passion for delivering high-quality care
SSSC registration (or willingness to register within the required timeframe)

Full-time, permanent role – 36 hours per week (Day shifts: 7:30am – 8:30pm)
