Our client, a leading educational organisation in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Part-time SEN Tutor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced education professional to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners with special educational needs (SEN).

As a Part-time SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for providing individualised learning support and tailored educational interventions to students with a variety of SEN, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, dyslexia, and emotional and behavioural difficulties. Your role will be to work closely with the client's teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement comprehensive support plans that address each student's unique learning needs and help them reach their full potential.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in SEN education, with experience in designing and delivering engaging, multi-sensory lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. A deep understanding of the latest SEN teaching methodologies, as well as a commitment to ongoing professional development, will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify the unique learning needs of each student, and develop personalised educational plans to address these needs
- Deliver one-on-one and small-group tutoring sessions, utilising a range of evidence-based teaching strategies and resources
- Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to student support
- Monitor student progress, adjust teaching methods as needed, and provide regular feedback to the client and parents
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate effectively with the client's management team
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in SEN education and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a SEN Tutor or SEN Teacher
- Proven track record of successfully supporting students with a variety of special educational needs
- Excellent knowledge of SEN teaching methodologies and a commitment to using evidence-based practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of young learners with special educational needs

Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Additional qualifications or training in specific SEN areas (e.g. , autism, dyslexia, behavioural management)
- Experience working in a tutoring or educational support role
- Familiarity with the local Mansfield and Nottinghamshire education system and SEND provision
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in the use of educational technology and digital resources
