Teaching Assistant
Location: Middleton
Role Type: Part Time & Full Time Positions Available
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
£102-£115 per day
We are seeking a bubbly, energetic, and hands-on Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Middleton area. This role is perfect for someone who is sporty, enthusiastic, and experienced in supporting pupils with SEND, and who thrives in an active, engaging environment.
About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning in a way that works for them. Your energy and positive attitude will be key in building strong relationships and keeping students motivated and engaged throughout the school day.
This is a very hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being active, incorporating movement into learning, and isn't afraid to get fully involved both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons
- Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils with SEND
- Use creative and active approaches to support learning and engagement
- Encourage participation through sport, movement, and interactive activities
- Assist with behaviour management in a calm and positive manner
- Help create a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with SEND
- A sporty, energetic, and proactive personality
- A hands-on approach and willingness to get fully involved
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who can bring energy, creativity, and positivity into the classroom. A background or strong interest in sport or physical activity is highly desirable, as movement-based engagement will be a big part of this role. You should be confident supporting pupils with additional needs and ready to make a real difference every day.
What's on Offer:
- A welcoming and supportive school environment
- Opportunities for ongoing training and development in SEND
- A rewarding and varied role
- The chance to positively impact pupils' learning, confidence, and wellbeing
If you're passionate about SEND, love being active, and are ready to get stuck in, we'd love to hear from you.
