What skills and experience we're looking for
The Governors of Morecambe Bay Community Primary School are looking to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant 2A to join our team. You will work closely with the class teacher to help our children grow into confident and successful learners. At Morecambe Bay, our aim is to do the very best for every child every day and we are seeking someone who shares this commitment.
As a Teaching Assistant 2A you will:
• Support learning activities with individuals and small groups
• Build positive relationships with children to boost learning and confidence
• Support the personal, social and emotional needs of children in the class
• Help pupils with special educational or bilingual needs
• Contribute to monitoring progress and support planning
• Help maintain a calm and purposeful classroom
• Prepare simple resources and complete routine classroom tasks
• Assist with tests and routine marking
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with children
• Relates well to children and builds trusting relationships with them
• Works well as part of a team (with a good sense of humour)
• Communicates clearly
• Shows patience warmth and flexibility
• Has good English, Maths and ICT skills
• Understands confidentiality
