What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational leader with a strong track record of successful senior leadership in a primary school setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to raise standards of teaching and learning, improve pupil outcomes, and lead school improvement with clarity and purpose.

Applicants should have a deep understanding of curriculum design, effective teaching practice and how children learn, alongside proven experience of using data to drive improvement. Strong leadership skills are essential, including the ability to motivate, develop and hold staff to account, while fostering a positive, collaborative and inclusive culture.

We are looking for someone who can articulate a clear vision and values, lead with integrity, resilience and compassion, and build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents, governors and the wider community. The ability to manage change effectively, communicate with impact and work strategically within a wider Trust is key.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is essential, as is a dedication to professional development and continuous improvement. Experience of working within a Church school or understanding of its distinctiveness is desirable.

Pupils benefit from a broad and balanced curriculum enriched with opportunities in sport, the arts, outdoor learning and pupil leadership. The school places a strong emphasis on wellbeing, personal development and creating memorable learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom.

As part of Leeds Diocesan Learning Trust (LDLT), the school offers access to a highly supportive network of schools and leaders, with opportunities for collaboration, professional development and career progression. Staff benefit from high-quality CPD, leadership development pathways and a culture of shared practice and continuous improvement.

We are committed to staff wellbeing and offer a range of benefits, including membership of generous pension schemes, access to a cycle-to-work scheme and a Trust-wide focus on valuing and supporting our people.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a school that combines a strong sense of community, a clear moral purpose and the support of a growing and ambitious Trust.
