The Role
You will manage your own caseload of civil litigation matters, providing efficient and professional legal support to clients while ensuring compliance with all relevant procedures and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing a caseload of civil litigation files from instruction through to resolution
• Handling matters such as debt recovery, small claims, and general civil disputes
• Drafting legal documents, including letters of claim, witness statements, and court applications
• Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties
• Negotiating settlements where appropriate
• Ensuring all work is carried out in line with firm policies and legal requirements
• Maintaining accurate case records and updating internal systems
Requirements
• Previous experience in civil litigation (essential)
• Ability to manage a caseload independently
• Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Desirable
• Law degree, LPC, required
• Experience in a similar role within a law firm environment
