Summary
About the Role
An established law firm based in Blackburn is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented RTA Paralegal to join its growing personal injury team. This is a fully onsite role offering the opportunity to manage your own caseload while supporting fee earners on a variety of Road Traffic Accident claims.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage a caseload of pre-litigated RTA claims from inception through to settlement
• Assist fee earners with litigated matters where required
• Draft legal documents, correspondence, and witness statements
• Liaise with clients, insurers, medical professionals, and third parties
• Obtain and review medical reports and evidence
• Negotiate settlements with insurers
• Ensure files are handled in line with regulatory and compliance standards
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records
Requirements
• Previous experience handling RTA claims (essential)
• Strong understanding of the personal injury claims process
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Proficient in case management systems
Desirable
• Experience handling litigated RTA files
• Knowledge of MOJ Portal and Civil Procedure Rules
• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
