Your new company
Desian Education are proud to be supporting an extremely well-regarded SEN specialist school that is at the heart of it’s local community as they require experienced and reliable teaching assistants to join their team on a long-term temporary basis. Due to the needs of pupils, you need to be able to commit to full-time for continuity.
Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining an extremely supportive and collaborative team of SEND professionals. You new school is full cohort EYFS – KS4 and supports pupils with a variety of SEN including ASD, PMLD, mobility needs, visual impairments, non-verbal, and more. You will play an integral role in the development of your new pupils by:
- Implementing positive behaviour strategies
- Supporting speech development via PECs, Makaton and other objective references
- Working in collaboration with external professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational psychologysts, etc
What you need to succeed
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Referenceable experience supporting complex and profound needs
- Be able to commit to a long-term full-time contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
