Your new company

Desian Education are proud to be supporting an extremely inclusive and well-established mainstream primary school in Winsford that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking to appoint a motivated and experienced SEN teaching assistant for a full-time contract, starting after easter and lasting the remainder of the academic year.


Your new role

As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining an extremely supportive and experienced SEN cohort, working in collaboration with the class teacher/SENCO and teaching assistants to support the education, development and well-being of all pupils within a designated SEMH provision. You will take a pupil-centred approach to their education as to ensure that the needs of each pupils re not only met, but also at the heart of all operations. You will:
- Implement an array of positive behaviour strategies
- Build strong constructive relationships with pupils
- Deliver comprehensive interventions i.e., ELSA, well-being and behavioural
- Use trauma-informed strategies


What you need to succeed

- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Be willing to undergo an enhanced children’s DBS check
- Have relevant referenceable experience supporting children with behavioural/SEMH needs
- Having an NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification is advantageous but not essential
