What skills and experience we're looking for
Are you a proactive Teaching Assistant looking to enhance your career in Special Education? Due to the expansion of SEN pupils joining Two Rivers High School, this is a unique opportunity to join a nurturing and specialist setting.
Two Rivers High School is a generic special school based in Tamworth. We currently have 287 pupils (expanding to 310 pupils in September 2026) with a variety of special needs. This is a very exciting time to be joining us on our journey, having retained our Ofsted “Outstanding” judgement for the 5th time in a row. We can offer a supportive environment with outstanding role models, smaller class sizes and the opportunity to be creative within the curriculum and lessons.
We are looking to recruit 5 x Teaching Assistant posts on permanent basis to join our excellent team, on a 32.5 hour per week contract, term time only. Required to start as soon as possible.
32.5hrs/week: Monday-Friday (Term time only)
Salary range: £25,989-£27,254 (FTE 37 hours)
£19,722 pa (actual salary)
Key Requirements:
NVQ3 or equivalent qualification and experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Purpose of the role
You’ll be working with children and young people with a range of special educational need – to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. As a Teaching Assistant at Two Rivers High School you will get all the support you need to succeed, from Teaching staff, SLT, in-house specialists and therapy professionals.
