As part of our team, your duties will include, but not be limited to: Providing care for women and families during the elective caesarean process. Act as a role model, presenting a positive image of self, team and the organisation Supporting and mentoring junior staff Working in collaboration with the Flow and Capacity coordinator to review and schedule elective caesarean section requests Support and liaise with women who are planning a caesarean section, ensuring they are fully prepared for their elective caesareansection journey Ensure a high standard of Midwifery care is delivered by self and others based on assessment, planning, implementation andevaluation of care to meet women's needs in accordance with agreed local and National standards and evidence based guideline Set, monitor and maintain standards of care to improve the patient experience and outcome of care Proactively manage risk and maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures andguidelines Communicate all relevant information to the multidisciplinary team internally and with external organisations as required, to ensureseamless care Promote provision of education and health promotion Ensures environment of care is safe, well equipped and compliant with standards for hygiene and cleanliness If this is not enough we have a BIG PLAN to: Consistently deliverexcellent care Create a great place to work Deliver value for money Ensure we are fit for the future Develop our staff to be the best they can be You can chat with Alison Wade, our Flow and Capacity Coordinator Alison.Wade@lthtr.nhs.uk or Marie Ryan, our Matron for Complex Midwifery Care: Marie.Ryan@lthtr.nhs.uk to find out more.
