Do you have a passion for providing excellent care to women who require an elective caesarean section? If so, we would love you to come andjoin our motivated and forward thinking team.

✨We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic midwife to join our highly motivated midwifery team, as part of our Band 6 team responsible for
supporting a woman's journey during the elective caesarean section process.


✨This is an exciting secondment opportunity for those midwives who would like to be involved in shaping the future pathway for our planned elective work.

We’re looking for midwives who are as passionate as we are about providing the best service possible.

It goes without saying that you will demonstrate a caring and compassionate nature and attention to detail.

You will have a calm professional manner that inspires confidence and promotes safe care, a positive culture and seamless multi-disciplinary
working.

You will be an excellent communicator, with good listening and advocacy skills to ensure women and their families are heard, helping them to achieve a high quality, positive and safe experience through the effective planning and management of individualised care.

You will uphold the Trust values at all times and demonstrate a caring and compassionate attitude to women, families and colleagues.

You will have the opportunity to learn new skills and will be expected to maintain your own professional development and knowledge to enhance your skills in this role.

Within this role you will have the opportunity to support women and their families through the elective caesarean process. Working closely with the Multi-Professional Team you will also be involved with the scheduling and administration process for elective caesarean section.

As part of our team, your duties will include, but not be limited to:

Providing care for women and families during the elective caesarean process.

Act as a role model, presenting a positive image of self, team and the organisation

Supporting and mentoring junior staff

Working in collaboration with the Flow and Capacity coordinator to review and schedule elective caesarean section requests

Support and liaise with women who are planning a caesarean section, ensuring they are fully prepared for their elective caesarean
section journey

Ensure a high standard of Midwifery care is delivered by self and others based on assessment, planning, implementation and
evaluation of care to meet women's needs in accordance with agreed local and National standards and evidence based guideline

Set, monitor and maintain standards of care to improve the patient experience and outcome of care

⚠️ Proactively manage risk and maintain patient safety, conforming to health, safety and security legislation, policies, procedures and
guidelines

Communicate all relevant information to the multidisciplinary team internally and with external organisations as required, to ensure
seamless care

Promote provision of education and health promotion

Ensures environment of care is safe, well equipped and compliant with standards for hygiene and cleanliness
