Crynodeb

The ideal candidate will have experience in a General Practice Management setting together with an understanding of the rapidly changing healthcare environment. Personnel and training Managing the administrative staff and non-clinical management of nursing staff, including taking lead responsibility for co-ordinating/undertaking staff appraisals & co-ordination of recruitment selection and training. Ensuring contracts of employment are provided to all staff and that all relevant employment legislation is followed. Ensuring implementation of the practices employment policies and procedures. Information technology Responsibility for the computer system, including organising any maintenance and developments to the system. Ensure compliance with Data Protection legislation. Premises and equipment Responsibility for monitoring of security or premises, arranging repairs and maintenance of premises, services and equipment. Ensuring that the practice complies with aspects of Health & Safety at Work (HASAW) legislation. Patient services Implementing and maintaining systems to receive patient enquiries and suggestions, including oversight of the practice-based complaints procedure. Reviewing and updating the practices information leaflet/website, practice publicity and health education material. Future planning Keeping abreast of developments within the NHS that might impinge on the practice or individual partners and offering options for consideration by the partners. External relationships Ensuring efficient internal and external communication, including being the focal point for contact with the primary care organisation, solicitor, accountant and other bodies Day to Day Duties Leads and is responsible for completion and submission of SSP Health audit schedule KPI Reporting Local Standards DES LES CQC compliancy The PM will take the role of Registered Manager for CQC purposes. Leads on the monthly checks and ongoing compliancy Patient Surveys F & F Tests Annual Patient survey Exception reporting Low and high level exception reporting review and compliance Important patient register Leads on the monitoring and maintenance of the register Training & Appraisals Oversee Appraisals / Performance reviews Monitoring of training for all (clinical and Admin) staff Responsible for proposals of training requirements for staff. Caldicott Guardian and Information Governance leads Leads on IG Compliance, Governance & Quality ICB attendance and compliance PM meetings Peer reviews Forums Leads on the work required for the clusters Medicine management PPG Take the lead for the practice which will involve attending meetings and co-ordinating events, production of minutes, completion of actions Daily/Weekly tasks Stock management and ordering on the extranet GP Rota verification Staff queries/Concerns Enhanced Service Delivery Optimise ES delivery within the practice Manage systems to ensure processes in place Claims Monthly claims PH, PPA, FFT Quarterly claims OpenExeter/Claim form Standards Childhood immunisations Minor surgery ICB Annual claims Extended access Winter pressures Finance Petty cash management and reconciliation Private Income management, completion of forms and reconciliation Recruitment and retention of staff Staff inductions Management and monitoring of staff training and matrix Support/mentor of staff Oversee and monitor/manage appointment systems Induction of GPs Management of GPs Operational Management Convene meetings/prepare agendas/distribute minutes Ensure premises properly maintained/cleaned and equipment functioning/maintained Practice keyholder Oversee repeat prescribing systems Complaints Management Complaints management and annual analysis SEA Management SEA management and annual analysis Meeting attendance SSP Health PM meetings
