Manufacturing Technician
Location: Loughborough - Bishop Meadow Road
Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for the safe and accurate packing of chemical products into a variety of containers and packaging formats. You will work in a regulated environment, following strict procedures and safety guidelines.
With training and strong performance, there is an opportunity to progress to Manufacturing Technician within 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow work orders and packaging instructions accurately
- Operate filling, labelling, and packing equipment (manual & automated)
- Measure, weigh, and verify raw materials to ensure batch accuracy
- Check batch numbers, product codes, and labels for correctness
- Pack finished goods and palletise for warehouse transfer
- Perform routine quality checks and inspections
- Maintain accurate production and quality records
- Carry out basic equipment maintenance
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures (including COSHH)
- Report any incidents, hazards, or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain housekeeping standards (5S)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, TPM, etc.)
- Be flexible to work across departments as needed
