Summary

Manufacturing Technician I

Location: Loughborough

Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour

Type: Full-Time, 12-Month Contract

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)

The Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Manufacturing Technician to join our operations team in Loughborough. This is an entry-level position designed for individuals who want to build a career in a professional manufacturing environment.

This role follows a clear progression path: you will begin with the packing and palletizing of products and, through structured training over your first 12 months, transition into a Manufacturing Technician II role involving chemical filling and machinery operation.

Key Responsibilities
Packing & Dispatch: Pack various products into multiple container styles and outer packaging according to specific work orders.

Equipment Operation: Operate manual and automatic processing equipment, including filling machines and labellers.

Precision Handling: Use weighing and measuring equipment to ensure batches meet accurate quantity and material requirements.

Quality Control: Match batch numbers and chemical codes against schedules to ensure 100% accuracy.

Safety & Maintenance: Follow all COSHH and health and safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean workspace (5S standards).

Logistics: Palletize, strap, and stretch-wrap completed packs for safe transfer to the warehouse.

Requirements
Safety Conscious: A strong awareness of health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Detail Oriented: Ability to follow strict work instructions and maintain accurate quality records.

Physically Active: This role involves manual handling, standing for long periods, and moving stock.

Tech Literate: Ability to carry out basic computer transactions for inventory and tracking.

Team Player: A reliable, motivated individual who works well with others and is eager to learn new processes.
