Summary

Manufacturing Technician
Location: Loughborough - Bishop Meadow Road
Pay Rate: £13.20 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM


The Manufacturing Technician I is responsible for the safe and accurate packing of chemical products into a variety of containers and packaging formats. You will work in a regulated environment, following strict procedures and safety guidelines.

With training and strong performance, there is an opportunity to progress to Manufacturing Technician within 12 months.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow work orders and packaging instructions accurately
  • Operate filling, labelling, and packing equipment (manual & automated)
  • Measure, weigh, and verify raw materials to ensure batch accuracy
  • Check batch numbers, product codes, and labels for correctness
  • Pack finished goods and palletise for warehouse transfer
  • Perform routine quality checks and inspections
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records
  • Carry out basic equipment maintenance
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures (including COSHH)
  • Report any incidents, hazards, or safety concerns promptly
  • Maintain housekeeping standards (5S)
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, TPM, etc.)
  • Be flexible to work across departments as needed

Health & Safety

  • Adhere strictly to PPE requirements (provided on-site)
  • Follow manual handling and chemical safety procedures
  • Work in line with environmental and safety regulations
