A great opportunity has arisen for a motivated Finance Officer to join a forward‑thinking organisation in Darlington. This is an initially temporary role with the genuine potential to become permanent for the right person. What You'll Be Doing
You'll play a key role in delivering high‑quality financial support across the Group, including:
- Delivering transactional finance services to the Group
- Preparing and submitting grant claim returns
- Completing Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Preparing VAT returns
- Providing financial support to Group departments and Directorates
- Collating information to support managers with budget preparation and monitoring
- Monitoring revenue and expenditure for internal projects
- Supporting month‑end close processes
- Assisting with quarterly reporting
- Supporting the annual financial cycle
- Managing and responding to internal and external queries via the finance inbox
