The Trustees are looking to recruit to the post of Qualified Class Teacher

with specialism in Early Years Foundation Stage and/or Key stage 1

Hollinwood Academy

Teachers’ pay scale + SEN (£2,787 per annum)

Commencing September 2026


Hollinwood Academy is part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust. Hollinwood Academy provides a broad and balanced curriculum that enables children and young people from reception to Key Stage 4 to access creative learning opportunities tailored to meet their individual needs. We have worked hard to continue to be at the forefront of successful, innovative curriculum design, with overall breadth and balance, which provides children and young people with autism and/or speech and language difficulties with their full entitlement. As a result, the young people benefit from excellent opportunities in all aspects of our curriculum to achieve and improve their academic achievement, social skills, communication skills, knowledge, understanding, well-being and physical development.

We invite experienced applicants with an excellent EYFS and primary background to teach our primary class group.


The successful candidate will:

  • Have knowledge of early years foundation stage and/or key stage 1 curriculum
  • Have knowledge of autism and an understanding of ways in which children with autism learn differently to their neurotypical peers
  • Be able to use their knowledge and understanding of autism to adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of children with ASC
  • Have experience in working with children with significant speech and language difficulties and sensory processing differences
  • Have the commitment, skills and motivation to engage learners who present with attention and communication delays
  • Have experience in the use of a range of supports, strategies and programmes specific to supporting students with communication difficulties and sensory needs
  • Be able to demonstrate a commitment to the continuous improvement of provision through imaginative and differentiated lessons
  • To have an up to date understanding of the engagement model and EYFS curriculum
  • Have experience in the enhancement of pupil progress and raising attainment and achievement in all children
  • Have experience of assessing and tracking pupil progress to ensure all learners are making progress
  • Have the emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with young people with a range of complex needs.
  • Have the ability to foster good relationships with other staff, children, parents and the wider community
  • Be hardworking, organised and proactive in their professional development.


Although based initially at our Roman Road site, all staff are employed by the MAT and are expected to work at any site within the New Bridge Group.
