Your new company
Desian Education is proud to be supporting a single-form entry mainstream primary school in St Helens that is easily accessible via public transport as they require a motivated and reliable learning support assistant to join their team on a long-term full-time temporary basis. This supportive school require full-time support with an immediate start available to support pupils and deliver targeted interventions to SEN pupils across KS1 and KS2.
Your new role
- Comprehensive 1:1 support for pupils with SEN including ASD, LD, and behavioural needs
- Delivering targeted 1:1 interventions in core subjects, behavioural and communication
- Supporting with phonics and guided reading
- Integrating into new pupil groups
- Liaising with the SENCO on pupil progress and recognising key-milestones
- Supporting during break and lunch-times
What you need to succeed
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Have a DBS on the update service or willing to undergo an Enhanced Children’s DBS check
- Have experience supporting SEN
- Be at least NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification
- Be able to commit to a full-time temporary contract (32.5 hours per week)
