We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil with additional learning needs. This is a full-time role working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and wider school team to ensure the pupil receives tailored support that promotes progress, confidence and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a KS2 pupil with Special Educational Needs
- Assist with delivering personalised learning plans and targeted interventions
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents to monitor progress
- Help with emotional regulation, behaviour support and daily routines as needed
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous SEN experience (essential)
- Strong communication skills and a patient, nurturing approach
- Ability to build positive relationships and support pupil engagement
- A relevant qualification in education or childcare is desirable but not essential
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Experience of Behaviour Management
- Full right to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
- Available immediately
