Material Handler - Wolverhampton

Pay Rate: £13.26 per hour

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Material Handler on behalf of our client based in Wolverhampton.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing business within their Supply Chain team, supporting production by ensuring materials and consumables are delivered efficiently across the site.

The Role

The Material Handler will be responsible for ensuring materials are in the right place at the right time to support production and maintain machine efficiency. The role involves working closely with production, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver materials and consumables to production areas to maintain machine efficiency
  • Support the movement of materials between company sites
  • Control Goods In and Goods Out processes
  • Check and identify incoming deliveries and maintain material traceability
  • Book in materials, tooling, and subcontract returns on the MRP system
  • Prepare despatch paperwork and organise transport for outgoing goods
  • Maintain stock levels of packaging and workshop consumables
  • Manage waste disposal in line with company procedures
  • Assist with resolving invoice queries
  • Maintain accurate inventory and update information within the MRP system
  • Support the raising of purchase orders and general administrative tasks
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with company standards, processes, and health & safety requirements
Requirements
  • PC literate
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience within a supply chain or goods-in / inventory role
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
Desirable (but not essential)
  • Forklift licence
  • Reach Truck licence
  • Overhead Crane / LOLER licence
  • Experience using MRP systems
  • Basic quality inspection experience

Hours
  • 39 hours per week
Pay
  • £13.26 per hour
