SEND KS2 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026

Duties as SEND KS2 Teacher:

  • Teach KS2 pupils with SEND needs full time using provided planning with no planning or marking required
  • Deliver well‑structured lessons that support communication, independence, and emotional regulation
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning, sensory, and developmental needs
  • Maintain consistent routines and promote positive behaviour
  • Provide verbal feedback to support progress
  • Collaborate with support staff and SEN teams to deliver personalised learning
  • Support small‑group and 1:1 teaching as appropriate
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal SEND KS2 Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching KS2
  • Strong SEND experience is essential
  • Confident adapting lessons for mixed developmental stages and complex needs
  • Effective behaviour and classroom management
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive, patient, and reflective in supporting SEND learners
  • Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
