Job Title: Hoist Operator (Construction)
Location: Edinburgh
Job Type: Temporary long term work available
Job Overview:
We are currently looking for an experienced and reliable Hoist Operator to join our team on a busy construction project in Edinburgh. This role is ideal for a professional operator who takes pride in maintaining safety standards and keeping site operations running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate construction hoists to transport personnel and materials around the site
* Carry out daily pre-use safety checks and basic maintenance of the hoist equipment
* Communicate effectively with site managers, banksmen, and other site personnel
* Ensure all lifting operations comply with site safety regulations
* Maintain a clean and organised work area around the hoist
* Report any faults or safety concerns immediately
Requirements:
* Valid IPAF, CPCS or NPORS Hoist Operator ticket
* Previous experience operating passenger/material hoists on construction sites
* Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures
* Good communication skills and reliability
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred (but not essential):
* Previous experience on large-scale construction projects
* Additional site certifications (e.g., CSCS card)
