Crynodeb
Health advisers are autonomous practitioners who deliver, support, advice, information, education and health promotion to patients attending the sexual health department, including those diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, they provide specialist support to clinical colleagues for patients with more complex needs. Health Advisers coordinate the management, delivery and follow-up of positive results, assess psychosocial needs, and offer crisis intervention to patients facing sensitive or challenging circumstances. The role is varied, demanding but professionally rewarding. The post is based at Swindon Health Centre, with a requirement to work across other sites as service needs dictate.
