Are you looking for a rewarding new opportunity where you can make a real difference and no two days are ever the same?We currently have a vacancy within our Urgent Care Team for a Base Team Lead, working 30 hours per week, including alternate weekends and a variety of shifts. Based at our Head Office in Chippenham, with regular travel to our four operational bases across the county (Chippenham, Keynsham, Salisbury and Swindon), this role offers plenty of variety and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day. Experience in an operational role within a healthcare environment is desirable, along with strong attention to detail. About the Role As a Base Team Lead, you will work closely with the Assistant Operations Manager, fellow Team Leads, and your allocated base to support the Urgent Care Team in delivering a highquality, 24/7 service to our patients and service users. You will have line management responsibility for a team of approximately 620 staff, overseeing recruitment, HR processes, induction, training, and ongoing support. You will ensure that agreed working practices are followed consistently across the team and that patient care remains central to everything we do. We are looking for someone who is calm, focused, and an excellent communicator, someone who can work autonomously and use their knowledge, judgement, and initiative to support both internal and external stakeholders. You will also be expected to follow established instructions, procedures, and protocols to help maintain the effective and efficient running of the service. The Urgent Care Base Team Lead plays a key role as a professional and responsive point of contact for health and social care professionals, while also supporting other functions within both the Call Centre and OutofHours bases. You will help provide a highquality interface between stakeholders and ensure that our bases are well maintained, with all quality checks completed and documented in line with compliance requirements. Please note: as we operate 24/7, 365 days a year, a flexible approach to working hours is essential. Our rolling shift pattern includes days, weekends, overnights, and Bank Holidays. A copy of the shift pattern can be provided on request and discussed further at interview. Day to day, your duties will include but not be limited to: Line management of the Urgent Care team at your designated base in Wiltshire Management of medication stock and medical equipment, undertaking spot audits as and when required. Ensuring fleet vehicles are regularly checked, with medication and consumables being adequately stocked and replenished, following company process and procedure. Working in conjunction with relevant company policy to arrange the delivery of medications on both a regular and ad-hoc basis. Supporting and supervising all members of the Urgent Care team in delivering a high-quality service to patients Assist in the recruitment of new employees across the IUC Service, to include interviewing, induction and training Guiding and advising health and social care professionals through the process of achieving the required outcomes for their patients/clients Liaising with allied health and social care agencies to facilitate the patient/client journey through the HealthHero Integrated Care service or direction to appropriate alternative service Supervising HealthHero Integrated Care operational teams and acting as the first point of reference to resolve issues that may occur during the shift Management of medication stock and medical equipment, ensuring fleet vehicles are adequately stocked.
