Are you cheerful, practical, and great with people? Join our small, friendly team at Deanfield—a residential outdoor learning centre where school groups come for unforgettable outdoor adventures.

We’re looking for a hands-on, organised, and proactive Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and help keep our lovely buildings clean, comfortable, and guest-ready. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our young visitors feel welcome and well cared for during their stay.

This is a varied and active role that involves daily cleaning, managing linen and supplies, and supporting a small team to maintain high standards throughout the Centre. While the focus is on housekeeping, the role also includes occasional assistance with catering during busy periods.

We’re looking for someone who is:
• Organised, proactive, and positive
• Physically capable (lifting, climbing bunks, moving furniture)
• Flexible and reliable, with availability for very occasional weekend & school holiday work
• A team player who leads by example and takes pride in high standards
• Experience is welcome but not essential—what matters most is your attitude.

Position Details:
£14.62 per hour (including holiday pay)
18 hours per week, term time only
Contract hours 18 per week term time:
Mon: 08:00 – 12:00
Tues: 08:00 – 12:00
Weds: 08:30 – 12:30
Thurs:
Fri: 09:00 – 15:00
