Children’s Home Manager – 5 Bed Residential Home
Location: Shrewsbury
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 per year
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Children’s Home Manager to lead a 5-bed residential children’s home in Shrewsbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader who is passionate about improving the lives of children and young people within a supportive and therapeutic environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and full compliance with regulatory requirements. This role would suit an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up or an established Registered Manager looking for a new opportunity.
Key Responsibilities-
Oversee the day-to-day running of the residential children’s home

Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Quality Standards

Lead, supervise, and develop a team of residential support staff

Promote positive outcomes and stability for children and young people

Maintain high standards of safeguarding and care planning

Manage staffing, rotas, and resources effectively

Work closely with local authorities, families, and external professionals
Requirements-
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)

Previous experience within a children’s residential care setting

Experience as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager preferred

Strong knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations

Excellent leadership and communication skills

Full UK driving licence
Salary & Benefits-
