We are now looking for an Employment Specialist to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

What You’ll Be Doing
As an Employment Specialist, you will provide person-centred employment support to individuals facing complex barriers, helping them prepare for, secure and sustain, meaningful paid work.
Specifically, you will work with individuals with disabilities, learning difficulties/disabilities, neurodiverse conditions, poor mental health, and other disadvantaged or complex backgrounds.
Working in line with the IPS (Individual Placement and Support)/SEQF (Supported Employment Quality Framework) fidelity model, you will support participants through each stage of the supported employment journey, from engagement and vocational profiling through to job search and ongoing support.
You will work closely with individuals to understand their strengths, aspirations and challenges, developing personalised vocational profiles and action plans. Combining intensive one-to-one support and employer engagement, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary health and community teams, and integrate within the West of England employability network.
Additionally, you will:
- Provide tailored in-work support, including job coaching, workplace training and skills development
- Conduct rapid job searches aligned with participant aspirations and strengths
- Build partnerships with statutory and VCSE organisations
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress and outcomes
- Contribute to programme impact measurement and outcome reporting
- Travel across Bristol and surrounding areas to deliver community-based support
What We’re Looking For
To be considered as an Employment Specialist, you will need:
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities, ASD, mental health conditions, complex health challenges or disadvantaged groups
- Experience in employability support or careers guidance
- Experience engaging with employers and building employment opportunities
- The ability to understand and meet KPI targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong IT literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel and CRM systems
- The ability to travel across the city and work flexibly
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or equivalent
- A qualification in Supported Employment/IPS, or willingness to work towards achievement within nine months
