Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Public Protection Manager to lead our high-performing Public Protection team. This key role is responsible for overseeing Environmental Health, Licensing, Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Environmental Enforcement services, ensuring effective delivery of statutory functions and high-quality services to our communities.

You will manage a multi-disciplinary team, drive service performance, and provide strong leadership to promote a customer-focused and forward-thinking culture. The role also involves working closely with partners, elected members and external agencies, managing service budgets, interpreting legislation, and ensuring compliance with current and emerging regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification or have extensive equivalent experience, alongside strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. Experience within a local government licensing environment and a good understanding of relevant legislation are essential.
