The Role

Are you a natural problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our transport team. You will be the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring their waste management needs are met with efficiency and a smile (even over the phone!).

This isn't just "answering phones"—it’s about managing the flow of our fleet. You’ll be booking jobs, resolving delivery issues, and keeping our skip turnover high. If you are organised, tech-savvy, and love helping people, this is the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

Service Excellence

· The First Point of Contact: Answering customer calls and booking jobs onto our Purgo system with 100% accuracy.

· Relationship Management: Building rapport with customers to anticipate their needs and provide clear updates on deliveries, pricing, and schedules.

· Proactive Coordination: Making "chaser calls" to customers to ensure quick skip turnover and efficient equipment use.

· Problem Resolution: Handling queries and "issue board" items daily, ensuring no customer is left waiting for an answer.

Technical & Compliance

· Data Integrity: Ensuring all transport data in Purgo is live and accurate to support our driving team. Geographical knowledge of Fife, Tayside and further a benefit.

· Regulatory Support: Correcting and filing SEPA paperwork and permits to keep our operations compliant and audit-ready.

· Internal Advisory: Collaborating with other departments to advise on collection frequencies and uplift rates.

· Safety: Following ISO standards and safe working principles to maintain a secure office and yard environment.

Who You Are

· A Great Communicator: You can handle a busy phone line with a polite, professional, and clear manner.

· A Team Player: You enjoy working closely with others to "get the job done" and foster a positive office culture.

· Detail-Oriented: You understand that in transport, a small data entry error can lead to a big logistical headache.

· Eager to Learn: You have an aptitude for learning specialized software and are interested in the technical side of logistics (SEPA, ISO, etc.).
