The role of Maintenance Assistant supports people using our services by ensuring our buildings are safe and warm environments to work in, visit and be treated.
To carry out and complete basic/routine maintenance activities as instructed, ensuring that operational standards are maintained at all times. This can include, but is not limited to, building fabric, general monthly PPM tasks, plumbing, drainage, joinery, and general decoration repairs.
To maintain effective site log books at all NHS Trust premises ensuring that they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
The role will support the Estates Manager, who oversees all building related operations. You will also be the day to day contact for our Estates Team and help us live our values every day, by putting patient care at the centre of your approach.

• To develop strong and positive working relationships with clinical colleagues to maximise the potential of the building.
• Ensure that the fabric and fixtures and fittings of the estate is maintained to a high standard and meets the Trust’s current and future needs
• Ensure daily and short-term maintenance of all areas of the Estate. This will be supported and directed by the Estates Manager.
• To ensure appropriate safeguarding and health and safety compliance and that all risk assessments and contractor safety checks are carried out

The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
• Support Estates and Facilities Teams in the production of customer satisfaction surveys and the analysis/reporting of responses
• Update and maintain key contractual documentation and records as required
• To complete all relevant mandatory and job-related training in line with company requirements.
•Other relevant duties consistent with the general requirements of building services maintenance as directed by the Estates Manager or helpdesk.
