We are currently looking for a dedicated and supportive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Bury. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.
The role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, helping them access learning and build confidence within a structured and supportive classroom environment.
• Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting pupils with additional learning needs such as Autism, ADHD, or communication difficulties
• Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils remain engaged with learning
• Building strong, supportive relationships to promote emotional wellbeing and confidence
• Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver individual support strategies
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• A patient, calm, and resilient approach to supporting pupils
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A current Enhanced DBS (essential)
• Ability to work full-time and start immediately
• Full-time position starting ASAP
