About the School:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded specialist secondary school in Bury. The school provides a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Known for its strong pastoral support and collaborative staff team, the school takes a personalised approach to learning to ensure students are supported both academically and emotionally. With smaller class sizes and a high level of individual support, staff are able to build positive relationships and help pupils reach their full potential. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference within a supportive secondary setting.

About the Role - SEN Teaching Assistant:

- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
- Support pupils with additional needs, encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
- Promote emotional regulation and social development throughout the school day
- Act as a consistent, positive role model for young people

What We're Looking For:
- Experience working with children or young people in any setting (education, youth work, coaching, care, or voluntary work)
- A patient and empathetic approach, with the ability to build strong relationships
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Calm, resilient, and adaptable within a busy school environment
- A genuine commitment to inclusion and supporting pupils with additional needs

To be eligible you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS registered with the Update Service
- Provide two professional child-related references

If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up-to-date CV.

Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
