Bury | Full-time | Summer Term (Easter - July)

We are currently recruiting for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Bury for the summer term.

This full-time role involves supporting primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism and additional learning needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SEN support team to help pupils access learning, develop confidence, and feel secure within the classroom environment.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning needs
• Assist pupils with Autism and communication difficulties to engage with classroom activities
• Support pupils in managing behaviour using positive and consistent strategies
• Help create a structured, calm, and inclusive learning environment
• Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to implement tailored learning approaches

• Experience supporting primary-aged children with SEN, particularly Autism
• Confidence supporting pupils who may present challenging behaviour
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
• A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach to supporting young learners
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

• A supportive and welcoming school team
• Well-established SEN support systems and routines
