Location: The Den (but will be required to travel to other sites)

Hours of work: 35 hours per week + match days

Responsible to: Head of Operations



About us:

Established in 1885, Millwall Football Club is one of the most famous football clubs in England. Currently competing in the EFL Championship, they play their home games at The Den, which is based in South Bermondsey, and has been the home of the Club since 1994



Role Overview:

Facilities Manager to lead reception and facilities operations at Millwall Stadium and across other 2 sites. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing and developing the front-of-house teams, and ensuring high standards of presentation, and operational efficiency and compliance with Health & Safety regulations



Key Responsibilities:

The role includes, but is not limited to:

Act as the primary point of contact for staff on 3 sites, and guests, delivering consistently high standards of customer service
Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and external stakeholders using appropriate tools and channels
Carry out regular inspections of the development to assess presentation, safety, staffing levels, security, and maintenance standards. Ensure any maintenance concerns are reported promptly
Lead all Front of House operations (Reception)
Manage, train & schedule FOH staff for peak efficiency
Oversee cleaning, standards & compliance across the stadium and other sites
Organise maintenance repairs
Ensure maintenance records and inspections as required by the Club
Preparation of the facilities for ALL home matches
Working to operational, best practice and Health and Safety procedures as required
Matchday support to the Head of Operations and other maintenance colleagues on matchdays
Ensure relevant resources are booked prior to events (ie Security / Cleaning and Facilities)
Manage staff health and safety training (manual handling / fire safety etc)
Contractor Oversite
Utilities Management
Stadium inspections and compliance checks
CAPX project co-ordination
Environmental & sustainability initiatives
Responsible physical asset management and compliance



Matchday Events

Guest Experience
Support event delivery alongside Matchday managers & Safety Officer
Liaise with other departments to ensure safe Stadium event operations
Liaise with Head of Operations/Safety Officer to ensure Stadium health and safety compliance pre-event
Support and manage safeguarding issues for Staff and spectators



Essential Requirements / Qualifications:

Previous experience in sports venue management or hotels, bars, or large event venues
Experience working in a Public Event Environment
NEBOSH / IOSH Health and Safety qualification
Strong ability to lead and motivate teams under pressure
To always maintain a flexible approach to work
Skilled in overseeing complex operations within fast-paced environments, ensuring seamless execution and consistent results
Full UK Driving Licence
