Key Responsibilities:The Director of Involvement will provide leadership and expert advice to all staff on matters relatedto coproduction. The post holder will: Hold responsibility for ensuring high quality delivery of the Involvement agenda through:o Reviewing, implementing and evaluating the Involvement Strategyo Ensuring the strategy remains in line with the Trust overall strategy and valueso Collaborating with patients to ensure the safe delivery of serviceso Holding responsibility for the professional running of the Involvement Teamo Creating structure whereby feedback is encouraged and welcomedo Reviewing, evaluating and adapting mechanisms of obtaining feedback fromcommunities served by NELFT Hold responsibility for the Peer Support Worker agenda throughout the organisation Lead on interface with external organisations Provide assurance of the Involvement agenda at all senior governance meetings, includingStrategic Delivery Groups and Board level committees Lead on relevant internal and external audit of coproduction Lead on other projects as required Have organisational knowledge relating to Trust protocols and procedures and to ensureInvolvement Teams adherence To ensure systems are robust for the accurate recording of information required forgovernance purposes Leadership To lead with honesty, openness and compassion at all times To be responsible for identifying service priorities and initiating developments tocontinuously innovate To set a vision with clear goals to further the development of coproduction within theorganisation To communicate and negotiate service model and policies to external and internal partnersand agencies To operationalise and monitor service policies. To communicate these to staff. To guideand lead staff in carrying out these policies To be responsible for monitoring activity and outcomes and to produce service summariesand reports as requested To oversee systems to support the involvement of patients in the design, delivery andevaluation of services across NELFT To lead a culture of continuous learning and improvement in the embedding ofcoproduction across the organisation To maintain a position of cultural humility throughout all work Management To have overall responsibility for line management of all members of the Involvement team To set clear objectives for the team and ensure that these are appropriately monitored andreviewed To ensure all staff members have regular performance reviews and supervision To be responsible for management of budgetary responsibilities To comply with NHS Code of conduct for managers. Communication To have a wide range of knowledge in approaches to communicating about coproduction To be able to effectively communicate with involvement representatives, other colleagues,peers and senior managers within the Trust To be able to communicate complex information and facilitate positive outcomes To participate in the review and development of policies related to coproduction To identify, communicate and lead on improvements to coproduction across theorganisation Consultation and Training To ensure own continued professional development and to support a culture of lifelonglearning in self and others To undertake and assist in the planning of own mandatory training and workshops To undertake regular appraisal and objective setting To support and guide new staff and their integration within the team To support training as part of the role including changes to professional development andimplementation of new policies and guidelinesSpecific tasks directly related to the post To undertake the role of investigating officer or chairperson in relation to complexcomplaints, disciplinaries and safety incidents To initiate and implement project management, including complex audit and serviceevaluation with colleagues across the Trust and other partner organisations
